The competitive landscape of orthopedic forceps market is divided, and leading enterprises are accelerating their layout in high-end fields
The latest report from Boyan Consulting shows that by 2025, the Chinese orthopedic forceps market will present a competitive pattern of "one super, two strong, and multiple tiers", with a market concentration (CR5) of 68.3%. Among them, Weigao Orthopedics ranks first with a market share of 21.7%. With a full range of product lines and extensive channel networks, its penetration rate in the field of spinal and trauma surgical forceps reaches 34.6%.
Da Bo Medical and Kangtuo Medical rank second and third with market share of 15.9% and 12.4% respectively. Da Bo Medical has acquired OrthoCare GmbH from Germany and introduced high-end reduction forceps technology, resulting in a market share of 19.2% in the field of forceps for hip and knee replacement surgery; Kangtuo Medical focuses on the research and development of titanium alloy instruments, establishing advantages in the field of minimally invasive surgery with micrometer level blade passivation technology.
In terms of foreign brands, brands such as Stryker and Johnson&Johnson still dominate the high-end market, accounting for a total of 51.3% of the high-end market share. However, their product pricing is on average 62.3% higher than that of top domestic enterprises, mainly concentrated in scientific research surgeries in tertiary hospitals in first tier cities. The industry expects that the market concentration will increase to 71.5% by 2026, and the speed of industry reshuffle will further accelerate.
